Over the past years did Gryffindor create a lot of events that where there to have fun or simply just unit the house a bit more and through those years did we see many battleships, summer camps and just plain old true Gryffindors events.
The insanity found in most activities can only be understood by a Gryffindor but we shall try to explain it to you and have you feel what we felt or make you see what we did or how much fun we had doing these activities.
Anyways lets get on to the point of this part of the yearbook and guide you past our events that have occurred in our past or are still going on. All I can say is have fun and enjoy reading this part of yearbook.
by Lucy GreybackAaah the joys of Costumes, Music and Dancing. It was created by our awesome Rowan Dream and brought to us by our lovely Laurie Lovegood, Madeleine Bronte and Maria Vianney Gracia. They hosted it all and we, Gryffindors, brought it to life with our Teams and wonderful Submissions.
Now you are possibly wondering: who were the Teams?
Let's start with the Fearsome Firsties. This Team was composed of Arabella Willow, Kristy Chippa, Emily Lupin and Estelle Lupa. Our next team, Group 3, was composed of Hailey Potter, Eia Donne, Risa Swan and Ann Black. Our third team named the Tangerine Tangos was composed of Abby Mondrake, Adrian Spark, Tom Foster and JaLeyah Rainey. Last but not least were the GQTOrgs composed of Sydney Alexandra, Eno Thomas, Julie Garnet and myself, Lucy Greyback.
The Challenges:Naming the Pair - Our first challenge of the game was to name the pair for the Ball. We were required to name a boy, and a girl. They were to have biographies, and of course Houses. We were also suppose to give a little story of how they came together, and any dance qualities they may have.
Fancy Bands - Our second Challenge was to come up with a Wizard Rock band. We were to come up with names for the band members, what they played in the band, and how the band got together.
Costume Design - This third Challenge was about Costume designing but not our little pair from first challenge. No, this time we were suppose to design a costume for ourselves and why we chose this type of costume. We also had to give a little background of ourselves, the team members.
The Submissions:For Challenge 1 :
Tangerine Tangos:
Our dancing couple is Alexander Black and Luana Griffins.
Alexander Black is a 5th year Gryffindor. He has black hair, dark blue eyes, and tall. He enjoys playing quidditch, listening to music, learning DADA, going to Hogsmeade, and... dancing. Actually dancing is his hidden passion. He secretly practising tango movements alone. Until he met Luana...
Luana Griffins is a 4th year Ravenclaw. She has medium length reddish-brown hair, brown eyes, and medium height. She loves music, reading books, enjoys learning DADA, and dancing. She joins the dancing club. Her favorite dance are tango and flamenco. The hispanic dances appeal her the most.
She met Alexander when she went to The Three Broomsticks at Hogsmeade. They chatted and... found out both of them have passion in dancing. He asked her if she would like to practise tango together. She said yes, because it's hard to find a partner to tango with in Hogwarts. They practised several times and had fun. They also found out "Strictly Ballroom", a film by Baz Luhrmann, was their favorite dance movie. They thought it would be a great idea to come to a ball as a dance couple. Then the Masquerade Ball is coming...
Group 3:
Name of the man: Alec Rosier
Biography of man: Pureblood,and he doesn't know Casey's blood-status, 7th year.
House of man: Slytherin
Name of girl: Casey Greengrass
Biography of girl: Half-blood, 5th year.
House of girl: Gryffindor
How they came to the dance together: Alec wasn't terribly interested in the dance, but his friends kept pushing him to attend. Unfortunately, by the time he reluctantly agreed there weren't too many girls he was interested in left. It's not that there weren't any girls left in Hogwarts, he just knew that he'd rather be caught dead than with someone who wasn't a pureblood. Even if being dance partners didn't mean you had to be in a romantic relationship with them, he knew his family would not be pleased if word got back to them.
It was just by pure chance that he and his friends were passing a group of girls from another house when he happened to overhear the last name of one of them: Greengrass. He recognized the name as that of one of the pure-bloods, and he promptly glanced back to figure out which girl it was so he could approach her later (he knew better than to simply ask her on the spot as he couldn't even remember seeing her before).
Eventually, he saw her in the Great Hall. She was a Gryffindor, but she had a pureblood's last name, surely she was okay! He approached her on the spot and asked to talk privately to her. Casey's friends nodded in approval (he was good-looking, AND a seventh year!) and stepped away. He then introduced himself, waited for her to introduce herself, then asked her if she wouldn't mind if he asked her to go to the ball with him, even though he was virtually a stranger to her. She said yes, thinking to herself it wouldn't hurt to get to know him better, besides he was a seventh year! He grinned, discussed where he would meet her the night of the ball, and joined his Slytherin friends to gloat about how he now had one of the most beautiful pureblood girls in the entire school.
Dance Qualities: Hidden talents they have yet to reveal to us. Casey's not one to brag, and Alec doesn't want to be embarrassed by his friends- they'd be jealous of his dance qualities, so they would make fun of him!
Fearsome Firsties:
The first member of our wonderful couple is Milo Chubb.
Picture:
http://i51.tinypic.com/2wqrjbl.jpgFull name: Milo William Chubb
Date of Birth: 13th October 1994
Age: 17
Year: Sixth
Wand: 11”, Hawthorn, Unicorn Hair
Mother: Jane Christina Chubb
Father: Henry James Chubb
Siblings: Jackson Wade Chubb, fifth year, Hufflepuff
House: Hufflepuff
Blood Status: Half-blood
Height: 5’7”
Weight: 125lbs
Hair Colour: Black
Eye Colour: Brown
Personality and Dance Move: Milo is considered to be shy by those who don’t know him, but those who do know he can be very loud and outgoing when he wants to be. He is not a big Quidditch fan, but will go to games and cheer for Hufflepuff. In 2010, Milo won the 2010 Nutbush dance competition where he out-Nutbushed his competitors, lasting 16 hours straight of dancing the Nutbush and setting a new Hufflepuff house record.
Back Story: Milo was born in Cardiff on 13th October, 1994, to Jane and Henry Chubb. He was home schooled until 11 when he went to Hogwarts. Sorted in Hufflepuff like his mother (his father was a Ravenclaw), he started to show his Ravenclaw side with his studies. He is, however, a true Hufflepuff. Milo is often found in the library, either researching for school or reading about his favourite topic, magical creatures. His passion is to one day teach, preferably Care of Magical Creatures, at Hogwarts or another school. His brother Jackson could be said to be completely opposite – opposed to learning and a Quidditch nut – but they are very close. It was at the end of Milo’s fifth year that he met Pomona. They had met each other briefly during classes but that was all. Pomona had asked Milo for some help finding some information for her Potions essay, they had kept meeting in the library for study sessions, had kept up a constant correspondence over the summer, and had Milo had eventually asked Pomona out at the beginning of sixth year.
The second member is Pomona Sparrow.
Picture:
http://i55.tinypic.com/23wqts6.jpgFull name: Pomona Anne Sparrow
Date of Birth: 17th June 1995
Age: 16.
Year: Sixth
Wand: 10 1/4", Birch, Dragon Heartstring
Mother: Gwen Marissa Sparrow
Father: Rhys Scott Sparrow
House: Gryffindor
Blood Status: Muggle-born
Height: 5’5”
Weight: 115lbs
Hair Colour: Blonde
Eye Colour: Blue
Personality and Dance Move: Pomona is quite an outgoing girl, especially at Gryffindor parties. It was here, at one of these very parties, that her infamous dance move first appeared. The celebration party for the Quidditch Final of 2008 (where Gryffindor smashed Slytherin) was the birthplace to “The Lawnmower”. Countless Hogwarts students have attempted this move, but only the style and true spirit of the dance is shown by Pomona, who has brought it out at every dance since to the adoration of her fans.
Back Story: Pomona was born in London on 17th June, 1995, to Gwen and Rhys Sparrow. She attended a Muggle school until age 10, until she received her letter and moved to Hogwarts at 11. She was sorted into Gryffindor and immediately became an avid Quidditch fan. Being such a fan, she tried out in her second year. After being rejected four times (second to fifth years) she finally realised she wasn’t made to be a Quidditch star and decided to join the cheerleaders instead. She is currently campaigning for better uniforms, as “not only the players need to look good – so do we!” Pomona is often seen designing new outfits and sometimes, during the holidays, making her own creations, often in the Muggle way (with the help of a little magic). Her dream is to become a designer and sell her creations. At the end of her fifth year, she began spending more time in the library, between her upcoming OWLs and searching through old fashion magazines. It was here she met Milo.
How they came to the ball: Pomona and Milo entered the ball looking charming together. Milo was in handsome black dress robes and Pomona was in a stunning red gown. Milo's mask was red with black trimmings, and Pomona's was black with red trimmings. Before they decided to go boogie on the dance floor, they stopped to get some punch and say hello to their friends and the Professors. They didn't waste much time, however, and were busting a move to their favourite songs shortly.
GQTOrgs:
Name of the man: Eno Thomas.
House of man: Gryffindor.
Biography of man: Eno Thomas is the pureblood son of Jennalynne Thomas (nee Kennings) and Luca Thomas. He was so excited when he discovered that he wasn’t a Squib, as everyone had been thinking. His parents had read Neville Longbottoms biography (as the man who helped destroy the Dark Lord, he was bound to get some publicity) and heard that he had found his magical ability when his uncle had dropped him out a window and he bounced down the street. So, with the best intentions, his parents casually tossed him out their second story window. They almost jumped for joy when he starting bouncing and rolling his way down the lane. It was their proudest moment. Well, second only to the day he got accepted into HOL.
In 2008, Eno joined HOL as just an ickle firstie. During his first semester, everything confused him. But thankfully, in his second semester, he found IRC and suddenly everything started to make sense. During his second year, he was made a Junior Prefect. Eno became quite the busy man throughout this year, teaching both Dragons and Oceanology as a Student Teacher. First term in his third year he was promoted to a full fledged Prefect, and became a class assistant to Creatures In Myths. Eno is currently a member of the Gryffindor Quidditch Team, is a Pen Pal Club assistant, a writer for the Gryffindor house newspaper - The Paw Print, and one of the staff members of the Gryffindor Awards Committee, The Lions Pride.
Eno is a very active and friendly member of Gryffindor House. An old hand nowadays, he’s always helping out other lost first years and owning the souls of organizing his den the Gallant Griffins. But, this seemingly nice guy isn’t as put together as everyone thinks. Everything was perfect until he met one Lucy Greyback, who turned his whole world upside down.
Unknown to everyone, Eno had had a little sister. She had blonde hair, bright blue eyes, and certain innocence to her face. She was only 7 when she had gone wandering off in the forest behind the Thomas house and found herself in a patch of Venomous Tentacula. When she didn’t return for dinner, the rest of the family went looking for her. It was Eno that had found her, pale as snow, lips turning blue, gasping for breath. He screamed for his parents, and ran to her. He saw the light leave her terror stricken features. He was only 10 at the time. And this is a moment that has haunted him for his entire life.
When Eno met Lucy, he saw so much of his little sister in her face, it startled him, and dug up all those thoughts he had desperately tried to conceal from himself. But he couldn’t help but be attracted to her. Just the way she acted, and carried herself made the butterflies in his stomach flutter uncontrollably. When they first announced the Masquerade Ball, his thoughts immediately went to her. Every time he saw her, though, she was always surrounded by other guys, and every one of them took a hit on his self-esteem. He hoped and dreamed that for some reason, Lucy was turning down all these guys for him, but he tried to push that thought from his mind, to protect his already fragile heart. But no matter how hard he tried, they kept coming back…
Name of girl: Lucy Greyback.
House of girl: Gryffindor.
Biography of girl: Lucy was always, or so she thought, one shy young girl. When she was younger, she often kept to herself. Growing up in an orphanage would make her that way, plus she always thought she was different. She was special, but she wasn't quite sure that it was appreciated. So she often kept to herself. However everything changed the moment, she found out she was witch, the moment she joined HOL.
She became more assertive, more confident in herself. To the point that now she is often considered one of the popular girls. She made plenty of friends. One of them was Castora Grimsby, whom she always considered as her partner in mischief.
Within her first year, she became a Student Teacher, teaching about Werewolves. It was a subject that always fascinated her. She joined the Spice Squad. This was a great way for her to gain more popularity. How she loved the attention and the looks of envious girls, and the googling eyes of boys.
During her Third Year at HOL, she received a weird letter from a woman who claimed to call herself Ambrosine M. Rosier (née Hollingberry), wife of deceased Evan Rosier. This woman claimed to be her grand-Aunt, sister to Arianne Charlotte Hollingberry. In the letter, she explained that Arianne was Fenrir's lover, never married, and they had one son : Bleddyn Fenrir Greyback.
Ambrosine explained she would skip through the horrific details of their lives, but did say that Bleddyn, a pureblood wizard, with no werewolf genes, had fallen in love with a muggle woman named: Amala Faith Evans (no she is not related to Lily Evans). He married her and they had one child: a girl, today known as Lucy Fiona Greyback.
When Fenrir found out that his line had been damaged by muggle blood, he wanted nothing more than rid of the traitors, and the grandchild who tainted his name. To protect her, Bleddyn and Amala hid her in the Muggle world, and dropped her at an Orphanage. Bleddyn and Amala, later on, were killed and Fenrir and Arianne were imprisoned in Azakaban.
Deciding to not let the tragic news affect her, she decided to join the Quidditch team. She figured playing would clear her mind. By doing so, she made friends that she learned to appreciate truly. None of the superficial friendships she would sometime gather from people who simply wanted a bit of the fame.
BUT really her main reason for joining the team was to be able to be closer to him. Lucy had developed a crush on one young man : Eno Thomas. His dark hair, his affectionate smile, his constant caring nature, even the weird, odd moments, would make her heart flutter and her stomach fill with butterflies. He would be like the light in the darkness.
Recently, she found out about the Masquerade Ball, and she hoped for nothing more than to be asked to the Ball by Eno. But it seemed hoping and dreaming would only bring sad disappointment.
How they came to the dance together:
Eno x Lucy: The First Dance
Lucy stood alone at the masquerade ball, watching couples dancing happily around her. She was dressed to kill in robes of silvery blue and with a simple but elegant mask framing her eyes. With nearly a dozen guys, both Gryffindors and non, clamoring to be her date during the past week, everyone expected Lucy to arrive at the ball with half a dozen guys in tow. Unfortunately, this wasn't the case. Lucy had turned down every one who had asked her and was now at the party alone, wondering why she had even bothered to come.
It wasn't that Lucy didn't want a date for this ball. It was that she wanted a specific guy to take her, and that guy hadn't asked her out. Lucy's eyes scanned the room again, looking for Eno Thomas, the boy who had captured her heart but failed to ask her out.
Even though Lucy didn't want to admit it to herself, perhaps she did have a reason for coming here tonight; she wanted to see the girl who Eno had taken to the dance. Maybe once she saw this girl, Lucy could bring herself to leave. But until then, Lucy had nothing to do but wait, and restlessly watch the couples dancing around her.
At that moment, Eno stepped into the entrance way of the ballroom and looked at his surroundings in awe. The room was extravagant and filled with happy couples. Eno suddenly felt awkward and out of place, even more so due to the fact that he did not have a date for this ball.
"Why did I even bother coming?" Eno wondered as he thought of his dateless situation, but he already knew the answer. He wanted to see Lucy.
"What kind of person comes to a dance just to see the girl they couldn't take?" Eno asked himself dejectedly. But as he began to call himself a hopeless fool, his eyes fell upon Lucy. Even with her mask on, Eno recognized her instantly. His heart skipped a beat, and he suddenly felt a deep wave of regret wash over him. If only he had asked Lucy to the masquerade ball, they could be dancing together right now. Eno had every intention of asking Lucy to be his date last week, but seeing Lucy being asked out by guy after guy after guy tore his confidence to shreds. So despite his wish to take Lucy to the masquerade ball, Eno decided not to ask her.
He wondered for a moment, standing there in the entrance hall, which of Lucy's twelve lucky suitors would be dancing with her tonight. But as Lucy lingered to the side of the dance floor all alone, it dawned on him that she didn't have a date! Was that even possible? Did she actually refuse all those requests she had received last week?
A flutter of hope entered Eno's heart. Obviously he felt bad for Lucy if she didn't have a date tonight, but could this mean that he still had a chance? If he asked her to dance now, would she say yes? Taking a deep breath, Eno resolved himself to discovering the answer to his question.
From across the room, Lucy felt someone watching her. She turned toward the direction that the gaze was coming from, and found a dark haired boy in a mask walking toward her. Their eyes met briefly, and Lucy knew, without a doubt, that this with Eno. Panic washed over her as Eno's presence caught her off guard. She looked away quickly, trying to plan out what she would say or do if he was in fact coming over here to speak to her. But as Eno placed a nervous hand on her shoulder and started to say, "Lucy, would you--", Lucy whirled around and responded, "Yes."
It was now Eno's turn to be caught off guard. His eyes widened a bit, as though he couldn't believe her answer, so Lucy smiled and rephrased her response clearly for him. "Yes, I'll dance with you."
The moment of disbelief passed, and Eno's face lit up with a smile. He offered his hand to Lucy, and she took it happily. He pulled her onto the dance floor where a waltz was now playing. Eno began by twirling Lucy right into the rhythm of the dance. One couple moved out of the way, stepping off of the floor to give them space. Though they had never practiced a waltz together, Eno and Lucy moved with each other flawlessly.
They stepped and turned in time with the music and danced like no one else existed but them. More couples had exited the dance floor now, both to avoid interfering and to watch their chemistry come to life with this waltz. The music played on as Eno and Lucy's brilliant dancing unfolded, leaving the couples within their captive audience sharing the same thought: "I wish we were them."

Lead Vocalist & Guitarist: Hilda Bendtsen
Keyboardist: Phillip Mychal
Celloist: Kate Dresden
Drummer: Christophe Pachis
Instruments
Hilda: Harp guitar
Phillip: Keyboard
Kate: Magical (the wizarding world equivalent of electric) cello
Christophe: Bodhran (a type of drum)
Biography:
The Ashwinders: this band consists of lead vocalist & guitarist Hilda Bendtsen, keyboardist Phillip Mychal, celloist Kate Dresden, and drummer Cristophe Pachis. 3 of them are Slytherin, but Kate Dresden is the only one from Gryffindor, who's a friend of Casey. Casey suggested Kate to the band, since Kate has a really amazing skill with cello, and the band accepted her once they heard the phenomenal things she can do with the cello for their band. While Alec only personally knows Cristophe, a pal in Slytherin, Hilda and Phillip both already graduated from Hogwarts, so Alec doesn't know them at all because they've never interacted with each other. Hilda and Phillip became part of the band due to an invitation from Christophe.
The Ashwinders specializes in love songs. With their superb skill, (such as Hilda's 8 octave voice and her talent on the harp guitar, classical and modern tunes played from Phillip's fingers, and Kate's magical cello) all wizard love songs that they play would be totally amazing for those masquerading couples.
GQTOrgs:
The Dirty Wizard Gutters
Vocals: Ariana Orazzio
Ariana Orazzio was born to an English-Italian family. Her father is a wealthy, pureblooded wizard. Her mother is of decent fortune, pureblooded as well, and English. She grew up the first 7 years of her life in her father's mansion in Italy before the divorce of her parents. She then moved to England to live with her mother, but she still has plenty of contact with her father, spending all of her summers in Italy.
Following her parent's divorce, she found interest in music and especially singing. Knowing this, her father payed for private lessons she took while in England and Italy. It became a passion, and her dream is now to become a famous singer.
When she was 11, she received a letter of acceptance into Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. She was sorted into Slytherin, much to her father's happiness and mother's pride. She excelled in many of her classes, well to the exception of Divination.
One day, during her fourth year, as she sat near the courtyard, practicing her singing, she was ambushed by three boys. They asked her if she wanted to be aprt of their band. Ariana regarded this with apprehension. After all, she wanted to be famous not art of some silly school band. But as she heard their playing, she was drawn to the group and ultimately decided it would be a good thing.
Drums: Tyler Thessic
Tyler Thessic, the drummer for the Dirty Wizard Gutters, is a fourth year Ravenclaw. Thessic was born to muggle parents, both of whom happen to be musicians themselves. His mother plays the piano while his father plays a variety of instruments. At 7 years old, Thessic began to play the piano under his mother's tutelage. Although he was considered a skilled pianist, Thessic decided that this wasn't the instrument for him. He switched to the drums at 9 and hasn't looked back.
Thessic received his letter from Hogwarts shortly after turning 11, much to his surprise. He was sorted into Ravenclaw. Although he is now a wizard, Thessic still holds onto his childhood muggle dream of making a living off of his music. With the formation of the Dirty Wizard Gutters, it looks like this dream could one day become a reality.
Guitar: Sloan Doherty
The guitarist of The Dirty Wizard Gutters is Sloan Doherty. He's a fourth year Gryffindor. He's the son of a muggle and a witch. He was raised in Norfolk, England until the age of 9 and then his family moved to Devon, England. He has always liked music and everything that has to do with it. When he was 5 his parents bought him a little classic guitar for his birthday. Sloan played with it for days and days, no one couldn't take that guitar away from his hands. Seeing their son's love for the guitar they decided to register him in a guitar club for beginners. He attended that group for 7 years and then like all the teenagers Sloan had an attraction for the rock music. Now he plays the guitar for The Dirty Wizard Gutters from 2 years.
Bass: Sean Kambia
Sean Kambia, a 3rd year Ravenclaw, who has become the bass player of the recently formed band, The Dirty Wizard Gutters. Sean is the son of muggles George and Maria Kambia. As far back as he can remember, Sean has always been fascinated by bass players. Watching their fingers skillfully plucking strings and moving nimbly across the neck of the guitar hypnotized him. His parents noticing his love for the instrument decided to give him bass lessons for Christmas the year he turned 7. To date, it’s still his favourite present. When Seans Hogwarts letter came, he knew without a doubt that his beloved blue guitar was coming with him. When Sean is not studing, he can be found in various locations throughout the Ravenclaw quarters and the rest of the school jamming to a beat within his soul. When he found Sloan and Tyler that day in detention, he realized that with this band, his love for music could quite possibly turn into a career.
How it all began....
The formation of the Dirty Wizard Gutters dates back to one fateful day in detention just 8 months before the Masquerade Ball. Drummer Tyler Thessic, guitarist Sloan Doherty, and bass player Sean Kambia, none of whom had ever spoken to each other, all had the misfortune of witnessing Professor Snape tripping on his robe in the courtyard. The three bystanders laughed upon seeing their professor stumble a bit, like any good student would have done, and landed themselves in detention.
That same evening, the trio found themselves scrubbing crusty cauldrons and sinks that not even the most powerful scourgifying spell could clean. The newly acquainted scrubbers made small talk while they suffered through detention, but no one brought up their musical backgrounds until Tyler Thessic, a 4th year Ravenclaw, began to drum out a beat on the rims of several cauldrons he was working to clean.
Upon hearing the rhythm that Thessic hammered out on the cauldrons, Sloan Doherty's ears quickly perked up. The 4th year Gryffindor dropped his rag and started to play some air guitar, humming out cords in perfect pitch to go with Thessic's drumming. Sean Kambia, a Ravenclaw 3rd year, joined in as well, adding his air bass to Doherty's air guitar and creating a song that would later become their first release as a band.
By the end of their detention, the potions dungeon was spotless and the trio had something great on their hands. No, it wasn't the grime of the cauldrons and sinks they had cleaned; it was the start of a musical phenomenon. With a guitarist, and bassist, and a drummer, The Dirty Wizard Gutters were on their way to forming their band. But something was still missing. They needed a singer.
Doherty, Kambia and Thessic started holding auditions for a singer soon after the detention. Many tried out, but the trio agreed that they hadn't found their singer yet. And then, from out of the blue, the last piece of the puzzle fell into place. While the three of them were sitting in the courtyard one day, they heard a girl singing to herself. Just like that, their search was over. The lovely voice belonged to Ariana Orazzio, a 4th year Slytherin. After finishing her song Orazzio found herself bombarded by the trio with requests to join their band. After hearing them play the instrumentals to the song they composed in the dungeons, Orazzio agreed to join, and The Dirty Wizard Gutters were finally complete.

OUR COUPLE:
Casey:
Casey's look reflects her natural beauty. Blue has been chosen to clothe her because blue represents truth, a color we found appropriate, as Alec will probably find out the truth about her blood during the ball. However, it is also a color representing trustworthiness and calmness, and we hope it will give her an edge when Alec finds out she's not really pure blooded like he thought. We don't want him to dump her!
Alec:
Alec's classic look was a no-brainer. He is a Slytherin, and of pure blood, so he has a bit of an arrogance. He dresses to impress, especially when going on a date with a girl. He wants to impress Casey, so he chose to reflect her dress by wearing a blue tie.

HOL ID:ei820
Hol name: Eia Donne
Year: First
Nicknames: -
Personal Quote: One should not assume that there is a magic potion to solve all your problems...although there certainly is one for most of them!
Short Bio: An Irish pureblood (albeit co-raised by a Muggle stepfather), Eia enjoys any occasion to bask in her family’s heritage, thus her choice in trying to create an outfit and mask reminiscent of the Greenman (despite a presence in other countries, she stubbornly associates it with Celtic lore). The nature of the mask allows her to show off a bit by doing something a bit on the elaborate side, but at the same time covering her face almost entirely to save her from any potential embarrassment; as a first year new to Hogwarts, she still is figuring out how things work and trying to make friends. Luckily the Masquerade allowed her the chance to mingle with some of her house-mates, one of whom was able to help work a charm on her mask, enabling her to see properly without her glasses for the night.
HOL ID: ha412
Hol name: Hailey Potter
Year: fourth
Nicknames: Hal, Halz, Hals
Personal Quote: Fate is a tricky little thing. Whatever's meant to be will most likely be!
Short Bio (min 100 words): Hailey is a busy bee while on the HOL premises, but when she is taking a break from the hustle and bustle in Gryff activities, she is honing her creativity by brainstorming ideas for the Spice Squad, listening to music, practicing music, or writing music. She has been excited to bring her creativity to making her own costume, which she made herself. She's glad she's a witch, because she had to fix a few messed up stitching to make it look nice. Her mask, although one can't tell in this image, has several faux topaz gems to match the blue in her dress.

HOL ID: sy847
Hol name: Sydney Alexandra
Year: First
Nicknames: Syd, Baby, Babs
Personal Quote: “The greatest pleasure in life is doing what people say you can’t”
Short Bio (min 100 words): Sydney is a muggle-born witch who is tirelessly working to get caught up on everything wizarding related she missed as a child. She was ever so excited when her letter came, her mom was just thankful that there was a reason behind the unexplainable things that Sydney had been doing (such as changing the bunny purple). Sydney is a hard-working student who is always looking to earn some shiny house points for Gryffindor. When she gets out of Hogwarts she aspires to become an Auror or work as an Unspeakable at the Ministry. In her spare time she loves to read, ride horses and dabble in acting and improve classes. Sydney’s favorite subjects are Defense Against the Dark Arts, Transfiguration and Charms. She tends to laugh a lot, talk a lot, and be very abnormal, weird and insane. She is capable of being collected and mature, but chooses not to most of the time.
Reason for choosing this outfit: Sydney is not one for big poofy dresses, but more of a classic silhouette type of gown. She liked how the scarlet of her dress made the black and gold in her mask pop. She feels that the slight volume of the sleeves and delicate embroidery at the neckline give the dress a simple, eyt elegant renaissance look, which is when the Masquerade Ball originated.

Nicknames: Enose, Emu >_>, Enoz, Enophogus.
Personal Quote: It’s not easy to break out of your comfort zone. People will tear you down, tell you you shouldn’t have bothered in the first place. But let me tell you something: there’s not much of a difference between a stadium full of cheering fans, and an angry crowd screaming abuse at you. They’re both just making a lot of noise. How you take it is up to you. Convince yourself they’re cheering for you. You do that, and somme day , they will. - Sue Sylvester.
Short Bio (min 100 words): Eno is a 13 years old muggle-born. Both his parents are muggle. His father is a mechanic and his mother works is a teacher. They both have nothing to do with magic. Eno learned that about his magical abilities when he was 7. On his 11th birthday the headmaster came on his house and gave him the famous letter. That was actually an awkward situation seeing as his parents didn't take that seriously. Eno is not very tall, he has black hair and blue eyes. His favorite color is yellow and his favorite subject is Defense Against The Dark Arts. He loves Quidditch and is also a chaser for the Gryffindor Quidditch Team.
Reason for choosing this outfit: Eno was dressed to impress. He was hoping that Lucy would be at the ball, and really wanted to catch her eye. With the soft black tux and the edgy mask his blue eyes popped. The stark white of his dress shirt just brought the entire look together, making him the best dressed guy there.

Hol name: Julie Garnet
Year: 5th
Nicknames: Juli, July, August
Personal Quote: "You can never have too much gutter."
Short Bio (min 100 words): Julie Garnet is a muggle-born Gryffindor who is currently repeating her 5th year for the 3rd time. A nasty incident involving a toad, a jarvey, and a mimbulus mimbletonia caused her to miss her graduation for two years in a row. But now the former GQT beater has returned to the quidditch pitch and is working to get back in shape. When not practicing with the team, Julie can typically be found in the library, hanging out with her friends in the common room, and generally spreading as much gutter as she can possibly spread. She is described as friendly, helpful, and more fantastic than ramen.
Reason for choosing this outfit: When shopping with friends, Julie had found the perfect mask for the upcoming Masquerade ball. It was pale purple outlined with gold, and an indigo feather was attached to the side. She searched at all the major stores looking for a dress that would complement the mask, but nothing stood out to her. Then finally, she came across it in a little boutique. She immeadiately fell in love not only because it matched the mask, but because the flowing fabric, soft colours and beautiful flowers accentuated her feminin side, whilst the fact that it was sleeveless showed off her recently toned upper body, making her look simply gorgeous.

Hol name : Lucy Greyback
Year: Third
Nicknames: Lulu, Luly.
Personal Quote: Aim for the Moon, if you miss, you'll land among the stars.
Short Bio (min 100 words): Lucy is a Half-Blood witch. For the longest time, she was considered a Muggle-born, because no one knew where she came from. She was raised in an orphanage in Scotland, with no trace of who her parents were. When she was in third year, she received a letter claiming that she is in fact the granddaughter of famous werewolf Fenrir Greyback. Her parents, Bleddyn and Amala, were murdered when she was just a baby. But beforehand, they managed to secretly place her in the care of muggles, leaving her on the doorstep of an Orphanage. Lucy's favorite school subjects are Defense Against the Dark and Care of Magical Creatures. She hopes one day to make it a lifelong career to care for Magical Creatures, as well and especially help werewolves be more accepted and included into today's Wizarding society.
Reason for choosing this outfit: Being dirty blonde with blue eyes, she figured gold and blue go well with her hair and eye colour. She likes the design of the dress as it is often the style she actually likes. Flowing, evaded sleeves, yet elegant all at the same time. This particular dress is very 18th century looking, which she loves (even though she is more fan of medieval times looking dresses).

Gryffopoly was a game we played in the common room. It was very much like the normal board game. However, when we stopped on the properties, we couldn't just "buy" the property. We were forced to do puzzles. Not just any puzzles mind you. We were forced to do Sudoku, logic puzzles, weird puzzles with triangles and numbers and BAH!!!!!! It made people go crazy. Not just omg I'm out of my mind crazy. BUT CRAZY!
And like the picture to the left.....yes we became vicious because some of us (Miette) wasn't a very good logic or Sudoku person. BUT I...erm she, loved the game of Monopoly? She just figured it would be like the board game. Sadly, she was mistaken.
The game was a month long event in Gryffindor. People would sign up in teams and each person had to roll the dice each day. They had one day to finish the puzzle given. If they didn't the other team would buy that property. In the end, Miette's team didn't win. Simply put, Miette was on the team. That was why. But take a look at our board and our game property list. Hopefully next year, Miette will just watch instead of play.
